• History of tennis

The History of Tennis is a comparatively recent thing to be written.

Since the first of these renowned tennis tournaments at Hever, tennis has evolved into a really popular sport. It has several prestigious awards and has been a constant fixture on the sporting calendar. In addition, it has created many scholarships and various other programs for those interested in it. Few of the most prestigious are ATP, the Wimbledon Championship and the ITF tournaments.

The History of Tennis has showcased some legendary matches, such as the Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Boris Becker. Becker goes on to win four extra Grand Slam tournaments in his career. Federer has held the US Open and the Australian and French Opens to record the most major championship wins in a calendar year.

Two of the most well known, and definitely the most prestigious, are the Wimbledon Championship and the Lawn Tennis Association Championships. The Wimbledon Championships have been going for almost twenty years now and is the most prestigious of all. The Lawn Tennis Association, which organizes the British championships, has been going since 1930.

A lot of the history of tennis can be located at both Hever and Wimbledon. Hever is home to many of the top players in the world including Serena Williams, Angelique Kerber, Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, Gael Monfils and Roger Federer. Wimbledon, by contrast, is known to played only by the top players, but has also produced legends like Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras and Martina Navratilova. Both venues also have hosted numerous other tennis events over the years.

As you can see, there's no lack of choices when it comes to tennis events that can be played at any particular time. Not only can they be played on a grass court, but they can also be played on an indoor court. Indoor tennis is growing in popularity in the United States and around the world. There is also an abundance of indoor tennis courses that may be used for tennis training, practice or for competitive play.
